Craft India

Craft India is over in Koregaon Park, right at Lane-6 on North Main Road. It’s a nice little spot, even though the street gets really busy during the evening hours. We have been in this location for a while now. The shop is usually filled with various items we are working on, so it can feel a bit cramped sometimes. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who like working with our hands. It is a very hands-on kind of place. You won't find any slick marketing brochures here. We just put our items out and let people see them for what they are. Sometimes the noise from North Main Road is a bit much, but Lane-6 is usually a bit more relaxed. We have our own rhythm of working throughout the day. Some mornings we just spend time sorting through materials. We don't have a formal mission statement or anything like that. We just enjoy the process of making things and being part of the Koregaon Park community. Many of our neighbors are also running their own small businesses, so it feels like we are in good company. If you walk by, you might see us working near the window to get the best light. It is a simple setup, but it works for what we do. We just try to keep things honest and do the best we can every day. It’s a good life for us here.
