Cottage Industries Exposition

Cottage Industries Exposition is located at 21 / 23/31 Center Street in the Camp area, specifically in Phase 3-B. This part of town has a lot of history and the building we are in has that old Pune feel to it. We have been here for quite some time, surrounded by the shops and cafes that make Center Street what it is. Inside, we have a lot of different things like rugs, carvings, and other handmade items from all over. It’s not like a modern department store where everything looks the same. Every piece has its own look, and sometimes it takes a bit of digging to find exactly what someone is searching for. The shop can feel a bit like a maze when we get new stock in, and it takes us a few days to get everything placed where it belongs. We don't really do the whole corporate retail thing. It’s more about the objects and the people who come in to look at them. Tourists find their way here sometimes, but we have plenty of locals who have been visiting us for years. The Camp area is always busy, especially on weekends, so it gets a bit loud outside with the traffic and the crowds. We just stay in here among the crafts and keep things going. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time, just managing the inventory and talking to whoever walks through the door during the day.
