City Pride School is located over in Nigdi, right in Sector 27/A. It’s Hissa No 2 if you are looking at the old maps of Pune. The neighborhood is pretty established, so we have a lot of families who have lived nearby for ages. Every morning, the street gets really busy with cars and rickshaws dropping kids off at the gates. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but everyone manages. The school itself is a solid building with plenty of rooms. We don't have any of those weird modern art sculptures or anything like that in the lobby. It’s just a place where kids come to learn their math and science and play a bit of football during the break. You can hear the bells ringing throughout the day, marking the start of another period. Sometimes the teachers are a bit tired, and the kids are definitely always energetic, so it makes for a lively atmosphere. We handle the paperwork, the lunch breaks, and the occasional scraped knee. It is just a normal school life in a normal part of Pune. We aren't trying to be something we aren't. We just show up, open the doors, and make sure things run as they should until the final bell rings in the afternoon. Then the whole process repeats the next day. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we do here in Nigdi for the community and the families around us.
