Rajesh Engineering Works

We are based out of Chikhali in Pune, specifically at Gat No 1635. Rajesh Engineering Works is a small engineering shop where we handle a variety of metal and mechanical jobs. It’s not a very fancy part of town, but it’s perfect for the kind of work we do. There is always a lot of noise from the neighboring shops and the traffic nearby. We have a couple of lathes and some other equipment that we use every day. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with suits or long meetings. Usually, we just meet out on the floor and figure out how to solve a problem with a part or a machine. Some days we are working on repairs and other days we are making something from scratch. It’s varied work and that keeps it interesting. Pune has changed a lot over the years but our little corner of Chikhali stays pretty much the same. We have some regular customers who have been coming to us for a long time. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we can do. It's a simple way to run a business but it works for us. We keep the floor as clean as we can, but a bit of oil and metal shavings are unavoidable in this line. We close up on Sundays.
