Chavan Soda Company

We are over at shop number six in Kondhwa Khurd. Being right near Lenketic High School means we see a lot of kids coming by once their classes are over for the day. It gets loud. Around three in the afternoon, it gets really crowded, but it keeps us on our toes. The shop is small. We have to stack the crates high against the back wall just to have enough room to move around. It's mostly just me and one other guy handling everything. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass bottles. Making sure the gas levels are right for the soda machine is a daily chore. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. The floor is usually a bit damp from the condensation. There’s always a hum from the cooling units in the background. We’ve been in this neighborhood long enough that we know most of the parents and the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a decent area, though the traffic on the main road can be a bit of a nightmare during rush hour. We don’t do anything special here. We just run the shop and sell what people ask for. Sometimes we run out of a certain flavor. People get a bit annoyed, but we try to keep up with the demand. It’s just a regular life here at the shop. It isn't anything like what you see in movies or on TV. We’ve been here for years.
