Chavan Industries

You can find us over at Gala Number 3 in the Moraya Co-Op Industrial Estate. This is the MIDC area in Bhosari, so it’s mostly factories and workshops around here. We’ve been operating out of this unit, T-201-1, for quite some time. It’s a dusty place because of all the work going on, but that’s just how industrial areas are. We make different parts and do some small-scale manufacturing. It’s mostly machines running and us checking on the output. It’s not a fancy office. There’s a lot of metal and grease around. We usually start early in the morning when the shift begins. Most of our neighbors are doing similar work, so there's always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background. We have a small team here. Everyone knows what they need to do. We don’t really have a reception area, just the main floor where the work happens. If someone comes by, they usually just shout over the noise. We deal with other businesses mostly. It’s practical work. We don’t spend time on decorations or anything like that. The floor is concrete and we have racks for all the materials. It gets hot in the summer under the tin roof, but we have some fans going. We just focus on getting the orders done and keeping the machines in good shape. That is what a normal day looks like for us at the industrial estate.
