Charming Handicrafts

You can find Charming Handicrafts tucked away at 1436 Shukrawar Peth. We are right on Old Post Office Lane. It’s an older part of town, which actually fits what we do pretty well. We’ve got all sorts of handmade things packed into our space. It’s not a big, organized showroom. It’s more like a workshop where things are being made or stored. There’s usually dust on the shelves and the smell of wood or fabric in the air. We don't do much in terms of advertising. People just wander in from the lane or they’ve heard about us from their neighbors. We like making things with our hands. It takes time and it’s not always perfect, but that’s the point. We aren't a factory. Each piece we have usually has its own little quirks. The lane outside is narrow and can get pretty crowded with people walking by. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers around the old post office area. It’s a community. We don't have a website with professional photos. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come down to Shukrawar Peth and take a look. We keep it simple. It’s just us and our crafts. Some days we sell a lot, some days we just sit and work on new items. That’s the life of a local craft shop. We just hope people like what we make.
