Chaiwale Food And Beverages is based out of Akurdi in Pune. We are in the A wing of Good Earth Apartments. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than being right in the middle of the city. We’ve been here at Dattawadi for some time now. Chai is what we know. Most of our day is spent thinking about tea and how people like to drink it. It's not a huge operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We have our office set up in one of the apartments here, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than a standard office building. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have a lot of supplies coming in. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise. Akurdi is a nice place to work because it’s not as chaotic as central Pune, but we still have everything we need nearby. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on the quality of the leaves. It's a lot of back and forth. Sometimes the weather in Pune makes us just want to sit and have a cup of tea ourselves, which we do quite often. It’s a simple business, really. We just want to get decent drinks out to people. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. We just get the work done.
