Our place is located at 2-16-24 in Shivaji Nagar. It’s a busy area and we’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us by face. It isn’t a very large space but it works for what we do every day. We open up the shutters every morning and start getting things ready for the shift. There is always a lot of noise coming from the street outside which you get used to after a week or two. Most of the people working here live nearby so we just walk to the shop. We handle a lot of different things throughout the day and it can get a bit hectic around noon when everyone is out on their lunch break. The floors need sweeping constantly because people are always coming in and out with dirt on their shoes. We don’t have any fancy decorations or soft chairs in here. It’s just a practical spot where we do our daily business. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour and we just sit and wait for it to come back on. We try to keep things organized but on busy days the counter gets covered in papers and empty cups. That is just how Caferia runs. We are just a local bunch trying to make a living in Shivaji Nagar. Nothing more to it really. We focus on the work at hand and go home when the sun goes down. It's a simple life and we like it.
