Cafe Siddharth

Cafe Siddharth has been in Pashan for some time now. It’s a simple setup. We start early in the morning to get everything ready for the people heading to work. Pashan is a nice area but it has changed a lot since we first started. There are more cars now. We spend our time making tea and serving snacks. It’s not a big menu or anything. We just do what we know. The chairs are a bit old but they are comfortable enough for a quick break. Sometimes the stove takes a minute to light up in the winter. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of guys who have been with us for years. We know how people like their tea. Some want it with less sugar, some want it strong. We just try to get it right. It’s a bit of a routine. In the afternoons it gets a little slow and we catch up on the news. We don’t have fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just a place to sit and eat something simple. We like being here. The locals are good to us. We try to keep the place tidy but it's an old building. It has its quirks. We just keep going day by day. When the rain starts, the roof makes a lot of noise but it doesn't leak much. People usually huddle inside until the downpour stops. It’s a nice way to meet the neighbors and talk about the weather.
