Cafe Coffee Day

This shop is inside the Godrej Eternia Mall on the third floor. We are right there in Wakdewadi in the Shivaji Nagar area. It’s a big building, so we get a lot of people who work in the offices nearby coming in for a break. It is different from a regular street shop because we have to follow the mall rules and timings. We spend a lot of time wiping down the tables and making sure the coffee machine is running okay. The third floor gets quite a bit of foot traffic, especially on the weekends when families are out shopping. It’s mostly just us and a few other shops on this level. We have the usual chairs and small tables where people sit with their bags or laptops. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the mall music is playing, but usually, it is a decent place to just sit for a while. I’ve been working here for a bit now and you see all kinds of people. Some are in a big rush and others just want to kill time while they wait for someone. We keep the beans stocked and the milk cold. It’s a lot of routine, honestly. We open when the mall opens and we leave when they shut the main gates. It’s a steady job and the air conditioning is nice during the summer months when it gets really hot outside in Shivaji Nagar.
