Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day is situated in the H E K Compound out in Loni Kalbhor. It’s a bit away from the main city center, so we get a mix of travelers passing through and locals who want a place to sit for a bit. The place has big windows and we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and wiping down the wooden tables. The coffee machine makes a lot of noise when it's steaming the milk, which is a sound I've gotten used to over the months. We have a few sofas that are starting to show some wear, but they are still comfortable. I work the morning shift mostly, getting the beans ready and checking the fridge for milk and cakes. We don't really have a big team here, just a couple of us behind the counter. It’s not a very formal place. We talk to the regulars about the weather or the traffic on the highway. Sometimes students come in with their books and stay for a couple of hours. We don't mind as long as it's not too crowded. The lights are a bit dim in the evening, which makes it feel cozy. We have a small outdoor area too, but it gets dusty because of the road. Most people prefer staying inside where the fan is. It’s just a regular job for us, keeping the place tidy and making sure the coffee is hot when someone asks for it. We keep a spare set of keys behind the till.
