Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day is on the ground floor at Yerwada, specifically in the Gm/01 unit. It’s a pretty standard spot in a building that sees a lot of foot traffic. Since we are on the ground floor, people are always peering through the windows as they walk past to work. It’s a bit of a fishbowl feeling sometimes, but you get used to it. We have the usual counter and the machines that hiss and pop all morning. The floor gets scuffed up pretty fast with all the shoes coming in, so we are always sweeping. Yerwada is a busy area, so there is never a dull moment outside. We see the same faces every morning, mostly people looking tired before their shifts start. We don't have a lot of space for extra stuff, so we keep it pretty lean. The chairs are the standard ones you see everywhere. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up and people complain, but we just reset the router and hope for the best. It’s a job like any other. We make the drinks, clear the tables, and try to keep the place looking decent. It gets really busy around 11 am and then again in the evening. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything. We just open the doors early and stay until the shift is done. It’s a convenient spot for a quick break if you happen to be in the neighborhood.
