Cafe Chokolade

If you find yourself in Nehru Nagar, look for Shop No 512/2916 and that's us, Cafe Chokolade. We mostly deal in chocolate drinks and shakes, which keeps us busy when the weather gets hot. It’s a small shop, not much room to move around inside, so most people take their drinks to go. We started this place because we liked the idea of a spot that focused on sweets. It’s just a few of us working here, trying to keep up with the orders. Sometimes the blender is so loud we can’t hear what people are saying, but we manage. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a counter, some fridges, and us. We spend a lot of time wiping down the counters because chocolate gets everywhere if you aren't careful. The neighbors are nice, and we know most of the shopkeepers on this block. We open up in the morning and stay until the last customer leaves in the evening. There isn't a lot of space for sitting, maybe just a couple of stools if they aren't taken. We try to keep the ingredients fresh, but sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to make do with what we have on hand. It’s a simple life running a small shop like this. We just want to make sure the shakes are cold and the chocolate is dark enough for everyone.
