Cad Engineer

I’m a CAD engineer working out of my home office at Flat No 6 in the Ram Housing Society. We are located in the Pune 6 area, at 121. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it stays pretty quiet most of the time, which is exactly what I need for focusing on detailed engineering drawings. I started this practice a few years back after working in the industry for a while. Now, I handle projects for various clients who need technical design support but don't want to go to a big firm. My setup is simple: a desk, a good computer, and plenty of coffee. I deal with all sorts of CAD tasks, from 2D drafting to more complex 3D modeling depending on what someone asks for. Being in a housing society, I don't have a big storefront, so most of my clients come through word of mouth or old connections from my previous jobs. Pune has a lot of engineering activity, so there is always someone needing a drawing updated or a new design sketched out. I handle everything myself, which means I know exactly what’s happening with every file. Sometimes I’m working late into the night to finish a set of plans, but that’s fine. I like the flexibility of being right here in the society. It’s a practical way to run a small engineering service without all the extra overhead of a commercial office space. It works well for me.
