Universal Engineering

Universal Engineering is over in the S Block of the Bhosari MIDC, specifically at Plot No. W-133. We’ve been in Pune for quite a while now. The S Block is a bit crowded, but we managed to get a decent spot. Our building is a standard industrial shed. It gets hot inside when the machines are all running at once. We do various engineering jobs, mostly whatever the local factories need help with. There’s no big hierarchy here. The person who answers the phone is probably the same person who will be working on your project. We keep things simple because that’s what works. We have a lot of scrap metal piled up in the corner that we sort through every few weeks. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. The neighbors around W-133 are mostly other engineering shops, so we help each other out with tools sometimes. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk through the big sliding door and find someone. Most of the guys here wear overalls that have seen better days. We work long hours when there’s a big deadline. It’s not the kind of place you’d go to for a fancy meeting, but if you need something machined properly, we can do that. It’s just how we operate. No one here is trying to be something they are not. We just work.
