Lucky Engineering

Our workshop is located at Sr No 6/2 in the Bhosari Colony, right on the Main Road by Mahavir Enclave. If you know the area, you know it’s full of small engineering shops just like ours. We have a couple of lathes and some other machines that keep running from morning until late evening. It gets quite loud in here, so we usually have to shout to hear each other over the metal clanking. The floor is almost always a bit oily, no matter how much we try to scrub it down. We spend most of our time looking at drawings and trying to get the dimensions exactly where they need to be. It’s hot work, especially in the summer when the tin roof picks up all that heat from the sun. We usually take our breaks outside under the small shade near the plot entrance. There is a lot of back and forth with the suppliers for the raw metal. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait, which is frustrating when we have a lot to get done. We’ve been here in Bhosari for years, and we’ve seen the colony change quite a bit. It’s just honest machine work, day in and day out. We don't have any fancy office staff, just the guys on the floor getting the parts ready for the next delivery.
