Durga Engineering Works

Durga Engineering Works is tucked away in Yuvraj Estate at Sr. No. 24. This is in the Gulve Vasti area of Bhosari, Pune. If you know Bhosari, you know it’s a hub for engineering and manufacturing. We’ve been part of this community for a good number of years. Our workshop isn't much to look at from the outside, just a standard unit in the estate. Inside, it’s a different story with the sound of welding and cutting tools going all day. We deal with all sorts of engineering tasks, from small repairs to making specific parts. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door will see what you need. It’s a practical, hands-on environment. Most of us here have grease under our fingernails and we don't mind it. It’s how we’ve always worked. We don't use fancy English or corporate jargon to explain ourselves. We just do the engineering work that comes our way. The estate can get quite crowded with trucks and tempos, but we’ve managed to carve out our own space here. We aren't looking for awards or big recognition. We just want to make sure the work we do is solid and the machines keep running. It’s a regular life for us here in Gulve Vasti, just doing the job day by day.
