Our workshop, Bharat Forge, is over in the Hari Ganga Society at L1 108 in Yerwada, Pune. It’s not one of those massive industrial plants you might be thinking of. We are a smaller unit here. We focus on forge work and some metal shaping. The area around Yerwada is quite lived-in, so we try not to be too loud, though forge work always makes some noise. We’ve been in Pune for a long time. The space we have is packed with tools and some heavy equipment that’s seen better days but still works well enough. We spend most of our time at the heat, working the metal into the right shapes. It’s hot and exhausting work, especially during the summer months. We don’t have any corporate slogans or a big HR department. It’s just us and the machines. Most of the people who come to us are looking for specific forged parts that aren't easy to find elsewhere. We take our time with the work because rushing usually leads to mistakes. We don't promise to be the fastest, but we do try to be thorough. It’s a plain, no-nonsense shop. If you’re in the Hari Ganga Society area, you’ve probably seen us around. We just keep the furnace going and do our jobs every day. It's tough work but it's what we know.
