Bela Creations

We are based right at Chapekar Chowk in Chinchwad. It’s a busy intersection and our little place, Bela Creations, is right in the middle of all that activity. We do a lot of tailoring and garment work here. It’s mostly just sewing machines and rolls of fabric everywhere you look. I started this because I liked making clothes that actually fit people right. It isn't a high-end boutique with mannequins in the window. It’s a working shop. People bring in their fabrics or ask us to fix something they bought elsewhere. We spend most of the day measuring, cutting, and stitching. It gets loud with the machines running, and sometimes we’re tripping over piles of cloth, but we get the orders out. Chinchwad is a good place to be because everyone is always passing through the chowk. We see a lot of familiar faces every day. We don’t do any big marketing. If we do a good job on a suit or a dress, that person tells their neighbor, and that’s how we stay in business. It’s just a small team of us working hard to keep up with the demand. It’s simple, local work for the people living around here. We just focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the clothes look the way they should when people pick them up.
