We make our sweets and chocolates at Sri Candy Chocolate, which is tucked away in Bavdhan Khurd. It isn't a massive factory or anything like that, just a dedicated space where we handle the cooking and the packaging. The smell of sugar and cocoa is pretty strong whenever you walk in. We started this because we liked the idea of making something local. Most of our days are spent tempering chocolate and pouring it into various molds. It gets quite warm in the kitchen area, especially during the summer months in Bavdhan. We do not have a big retail storefront with glass displays; it is more of a production spot. We wrap everything by hand, which takes a lot of time and patience. Our recipes aren't complicated, and we do not use any of those strange chemicals you find in the big store brands. Sometimes the batches do not come out perfectly, and we have to start over. We sell to some of the local shops and people who know we are here. The neighborhood is quiet, which is nice for a small business like ours. We have a few shelves where we keep the finished boxes ready for delivery. It is just a few of us working here, making sure the chocolate tastes the way it should. We are not trying to be some global brand; we are just happy making candy in our little corner of Bavdhan Khurd.
