If you go behind Kaka Halwai in Aundh Camp, you’ll find where we run Aundh Retreat Caterars. It’s tucked away in a quiet corner, which is good for us because we need the space to work. We aren’t a restaurant where you can just walk in and order a snack. We handle food for bigger groups and events. Our kitchen is where all the action happens. We have large burners and big pots for making meals in bulk. Most of the time, we are busy chopping, stirring, or packing things into boxes. The team here is a small group of people who have been working together for years. We know how to handle the pressure when a big order comes in last minute. Aundh is a busy part of Pune, and we’ve seen it grow a lot over the years. We’ve stayed right here, though. We don’t spend money on fancy advertisements. Most of our work comes from neighbors telling their friends about us. We try to keep our kitchen clean and our ingredients fresh from the market. It’s not a glamorous job, especially when you’re cleaning up after a long day of cooking. But we like what we do. We just focus on getting the food delivered on time and making sure there’s plenty to go around. That’s how we operate every single day. We are just local people making food.
