Atharva Travels

I run Atharva Travels out of Sadashiv Peth, specifically at 1143 Preet Nagar. If you know the area, you know how narrow the lanes can get around here. It’s an old part of the city and I’ve lived here my whole life. My office is basically a room with a desk and a couple of phones. I have three drivers who work with me regularly and they know the city like the back of their hands. We do a lot of local trips, but sometimes we go further out if someone has a family function or a pilgrimage. I spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating where the cars are. It’s a bit like a puzzle sometimes. We don't use any high-tech systems, just my memory and a few scraps of paper. The cars are parked a little ways away because space is tight in Sadashiv Peth. I try to make sure everything runs on time, but with the traffic these days, you never really know what will happen on the road. The neighbors often stop by for a chat while I’m working. It feels more like a community thing than a big business. We don't have fancy brochures or anything like that. People just know that if they need a car, they can come to Preet Nagar and talk to me. It’s been this way for a long time and I don't see it changing much at all.
