My workspace is located at 22/B in Nirapalm Society, which is in the Ashok Nagar area right off Vijapur Road in Solapur. I work as an Assistant Engineer, and this place serves as my home base for all the technical projects I’m involved with. Solapur is a busy city, and being near Vijapur Road means there is always a lot of noise and movement. My office isn't much to look at—it’s just a room with a sturdy table, some old filing cabinets, and my engineering equipment. I spend my days reviewing construction plans and heading out to various sites to make sure the work is being done properly. It's a lot of checking measurements and arguing with contractors about the quality of the sand or the placement of the pillars. The heat here can be really intense, and by the time I get back from a site visit, I’m usually exhausted and covered in cement dust. I’ve lived in this society for a while, and the neighbors are used to seeing me with my rolls of blueprints. It’s a straightforward life. I don’t have a big staff to help with the admin stuff, so I end up doing all the filing and phone calls myself. Sometimes the "About Us" is just about one person trying to get the job done right. I’m just focused on the day-to-day reality of building things that stay standing.
