Assam Tea House is tucked away at Plot 12 in Vishrantwadi. We are very close to the Gocul Bus Stop, so it’s easy for people to find us if they are taking public transport. The smell of tea is usually the first thing you notice when you walk into our place. We’ve got bags and containers of tea everywhere. It’s a simple shop. We don’t have fancy seating or a modern cafe look. It’s more of a traditional tea house where the focus is just on the tea itself. We spend a lot of time weighing out leaves and talking to folks who come in for their regular supply. Vishrantwadi is a nice, grounded neighborhood. Being near the bus stop means we see all sorts of people throughout the day. Some are in a hurry and some stay to chat for a minute. We like that part of the job. It’s not a big corporate operation. It’s just us handling the tea we get and making sure it’s ready for the local families and shops that buy from us. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. The shop is a bit small, and it can get crowded when a new shipment arrives, but we like the coziness of it. We just focus on the tea and keeping the shop running day in and day out. It is a very practical way to spend our time.
