Ashish Engineers

Our workshop, Ashish Engineers, is at Gat No. 80 in Jyotiba Nagar. We are situated on Chikhali Road in the Talawade area. It’s an industrial part of town where you can hear the sound of machines all day long. We focus on engineering jobs, mostly fabrication and fixing parts for other businesses. The shop isn’t very large. We have some lathes, a welding set, and a bunch of tools scattered around the benches. It’s a noisy and oily environment. My hands are usually covered in grease from working on the gears. We don't have a secretary or a formal front desk. You just walk in past the main shutter and talk to us. We’ve been working here in Talawade for a long time. The traffic on Chikhali Road is always a nightmare, but we are used to it by now. We aren't trying to be some high-tech firm. We just do honest engineering work. Sometimes we stay late to finish a job for a customer who is in a rush. We don't have a mission statement or any corporate slogans. We just try to make things that don't break. Most of our work comes from word of mouth between the other workshops around here. It’s a practical life. We aren't looking for awards. We just want to keep the machines running and the customers satisfied with the parts we make for their daily needs.
