Ashirwad Tea General Stores

Ashirwad Tea General Stores is right there on O T C Road in Dapodi. It is one of those places where you can find a bit of everything, from loose tea leaves to the basic things you need for the kitchen. The shop isn't very large, but we try to keep the shelves full of snacks, soaps, and packets of spices. There is usually a big jar of biscuits sitting on the front counter for the kids who come by after school. We open up early in the morning because that is when people are out looking for milk and bread. The street outside can get quite dusty with all the traffic going towards the main station, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and containers. It’s a family-run kind of place, and we know most of the people who live in the neighborhood by their first names. We don't have any fancy displays or computer systems here. Everything is recorded in a big ledger book that sits by the cash box. Sometimes we sit on the benches outside when the shop is quiet and just watch the cars go by. It’s a simple life, and the store keeps us busy enough. People stop by not just to buy things but often just to have a quick chat about the weather or the local news. We like being part of the community here in Dapodi and intend to stay for a while longer.
