Arnav Handicrafts & Gifts

Arnav Handicrafts & Gifts is our little shop over on Dr. Homi Bhaba Road, specifically at B-31, near the University Circle. It’s a great location because there are always students and people from the university walking by. We opened this place because we have always liked traditional crafts and handmade things that you don't see in the big malls. The shop is pretty small, so we’ve had to get creative with how we display everything on the shelves. We carry a bit of everything, from small brass statues to hand-woven bags and little trinkets that make nice gifts. It’s a lot of work to keep the shop looking good and finding new items to bring in. We often deal with small artisans who make these things by hand, so sometimes there are slight differences between pieces, but we think that’s part of the charm. We aren't some big chain store; it’s just us running the place day in and day out. We like talking to the customers who wander in and hearing their stories. The area around University Circle is always lively, which makes the days go by fast. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that. We just try to keep a good variety of interesting things at prices that won't break the bank for the local students and residents.
