Architects United

Our office is in Pune, situated at F14/4 in the Prathamesh building, which is part of Saritanagari-I in Ganeshmala. It is a nice enough spot near the river area, though it can get a bit crowded during the peak hours. We called ourselves Architects United, but we aren't some massive corporation. We are just a few people who decided to work together under one roof. The office has that lived-in feel, with layers of old drawings and rolls of tracing paper everywhere. We don’t really bother with making the place look like a showroom. Instead, we have comfortable chairs and plenty of light for when we are working late. Pune-30 is a good area to be in, and we’ve gotten to know the local tea vendors and shopkeepers pretty well over the years. Our days are filled with the usual stuff—sketching out ideas, arguing over dimensions, and making phone calls to vendors who are running late. It is a bit disorganized at times, especially when we are in the middle of a big project, but we always know where everything is. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just take a look at what someone needs and try to draw it out so it can actually be built. It’s a lot of back and forth, and sometimes it's exhausting, but we keep at it every day.
