Our office is Unit 101 inside Sai Chambers 16, right on that busy stretch of the Mumbai - Pune Road. Being in Wakdewadi means there is always traffic outside, so we hear the horns all day long. It's a decent spot though, pretty easy for people to find once they get off the main highway. We have been working out of this space for some time, surrounded by rolls of blueprints and stacks of files that never seem to get smaller. Most days start with trying to find a clear spot on the desk to put a coffee mug. We spend a lot of time staring at computer screens or talking over plans at the big table in the middle. It’s not a quiet library type of place; there is usually someone talking or a printer going off in the corner. We deal with the usual headaches of construction and drawings, trying to make sure the measurements actually make sense before anything gets built. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, and the streetlights outside are the only things on. It’s just a small group of us here trying to keep things organized. We aren't into big fancy presentations, we'd rather just show the work and explain how it's going to happen. It's a bit cluttered in here, but we know where everything is. We usually take turns making the tea in the afternoon when we need a break and some fresh air.
