Applied Engineering Services

Applied Engineering Services is tucked away in the Central Chamber over at Shukrawar Peth. It is right next to the Maratha Chamber of Commerce, which makes it easy to find if you know the area. We have been here for a while now, mostly dealing with the usual mechanical repairs and parts that come through the door. The shop gets a bit dusty in the afternoons when the wind kicks up from the main road. It is not a huge place, just a workspace where things get fixed. Most days involve looking over blueprints or adjusting lathes to get things just right. It is noisy inside when the machines are all running at once. My desk is covered in old invoices and grease marks that never quite come off. People stop by to drop off items or ask about a specific part we might have sitting on the shelf. The lighting isn't the greatest, but it works for what we do. Sometimes the tea guy comes around twice if we are busy. We don't really do much in the way of fancy stuff. It is just a straightforward engineering setup. We spend a lot of time double-checking measurements because errors just waste everyone's time. The building itself is older, and you can hear the street traffic outside all day long. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep and creak when you walk on them. It is just the rhythm of the place. We keep a stack of old newspapers to wrap small parts. It's just how things are.
