Anil Engineers

Our workshop, Anil Engineers, is situated at W-175 A in the Bhosari M I D C area. This is a very industrial part of town, so there is noise and trucks moving around all day long. We have a few lathes and some milling machines in the shed. We mostly handle small batches of parts for the bigger factories nearby. It is not a clean environment; there is oil on the floor and the smell of cutting fluid is always in the air. We wear our overalls and spend the day checking tolerances and making sure the cuts are right. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of workers. It’s a small team of us who know how to handle the machinery. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole night fixing it so we don’t miss a deadline. It is hard work and the hours can be long, especially when a big order comes in last minute. We don't have a fancy office for meetings; we usually just talk over a cup of chai near the main door. We’ve been at this address for quite a few years now and most of the other shop owners around Bhosari know us. We just focus on doing the job right and keeping the machines running. It is practical work and we take it one day at a time. We usually finish up late after cleaning the tools.
