Being located at 3 Ujwal Premises is pretty convenient since it’s right opposite The Great Punjab Restaurant in Baner Gaon. You can usually smell whatever they’re cooking over there around lunchtime, which makes us all pretty hungry before we’ve even finished our morning work. Our shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space to hang up the accessories. It can get a bit overwhelming seeing everything all at once, but we know our way around the piles. The traffic on the road outside is almost always loud, but you get used to it after a week or two of working here. We spend a lot of time just unpacking boxes and checking to see if anything got damaged during the delivery. Sometimes a customer comes in and stays for an hour just chatting about the neighborhood and what’s changing in Baner. It’s nice to have those regulars who know our names and ask how we are doing. We don’t really do anything formal here, we just open up in the morning, sweep the front step, and wait for people to drop by. The lighting inside is a bit bright because we wanted to make sure people could see the small details on the items, but it gets a bit warm in the afternoons. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to do a decent job every day without making too much of a fuss about things.
