Ambuja Battery

Ambuja Battery is located in Sangavi over at 27th Main and 1st Cross. It’s a corner spot that we’ve been at for quite a while now. The shop is filled with different kinds of batteries, from the small ones for bikes to the big heavy ones for cars and inverters. There is always a faint smell of lead and acid in the air, which is just part of the daily job for us. We spend a lot of our time testing batteries to see if they can still hold a charge or if they are completely dead. It’s heavy work because those batteries are not light and we are always lifting them onto the charging racks or out to people's cars. The 1st Cross road can be a bit narrow so when people bring their cars for a battery check, it sometimes blocks the way for a minute. We have some basic tools and a voltmeter that we use all day long. The shop doesn't have much in the way of decoration, just some old posters and the racks where the stock sits. We usually have a few half-finished cups of tea sitting around the place while we wait for batteries to finish charging. It’s a practical business and we don't spend much time on anything that isn't related to getting things running again. People in Sangavi know us as the place to go when their vehicle won't start.
