Alkam Industries operates out of the Nanded GIDC Estate, specifically at units 16, 10, and 11. Being in a GIDC area means it is all about production and getting orders out on time. It is a noisy place with the sounds of machinery and trucks moving around constantly. We aren't a big corporate office; we are a working unit where things actually get made. Our space is spread across those three plots, and there is always something going on in one of them. The floors are concrete and usually have some marks from the work we do. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that's not what we are here for. Most of our time is spent managing the machines and making sure the output is what it should be. The workers here have been with us for a bit, and we all just know what needs to be done. It’s hot in the summer and the metal roof doesn't help much, but we keep the fans going. We deal with other businesses mostly, so we don't get many random walk-ins. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of raw materials. Some days the logistics are a headache, with deliveries being late or something breaking down, but that is just part of life in an industrial zone. We just focus on the job at hand and keep moving forward until the shift ends. It keeps the days from being boring, that’s for sure.
