Akruti Concept Studio, Ar. Rahul Deshmukh

Akruti Concept Studio. It's run by Ar. Rahul Deshmukh. We are located over at Shital Bag Housing Complex, unit 16/4. It’s in Bhosari, which is usually a busy place. The studio isn’t huge, but it has everything we need for the design work. Rahul is usually busy with some project or another, sketching things out or checking on site details. We have a lot of files piled up because there’s always something going on. Being in a housing complex makes it feel a bit more relaxed than a high-rise office building. Sometimes neighbors walk by or people from the complex stop in to say hello. Pune-39 is a good area for us. The walls are covered in some older plans and there’s always a faint smell of coffee around. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with suits and formal talk. It’s more about sitting down and figuring out how to make a space work. Rahul has his way of doing things, and we just follow along to get the drawings finished. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, but that's just the nature of this kind of job. It’s a practical space for practical people. We don't spend much time on decorations, just enough to make it a decent place to spend the day working on architecture concepts. It’s been our base for a while and we like the neighborhood feel.
