6Th Street Cafe

You can find us tucked away in Lane No 6, right near the Pizza Hut off the Koregaon Park Mahemdawad Highway. The cafe isn't very large, and the noise from the highway sometimes drifts in, but it’s our little spot. We started 6Th Street Cafe because we wanted a place where we could just hang out and serve decent coffee. The furniture is a bit mismatched because we bought it over time. Some of the chairs squeak a little when you sit down. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen trying out different sandwiches. Not everything we make is a hit, but we keep the ones people actually like on the menu. The traffic on the highway can be a nightmare during rush hour, so we get a lot of people stopping in just to wait out the congestion. We don’t have a massive team, just a couple of us and a helper who comes in for the lunch rush. Sometimes we forget to change the music playlist and the same songs play three times in a row. It’s a bit laid back here, maybe too much for some people, but we like it that way. We just want to serve a hot cup of tea or a cold drink without any fuss. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people still find their way to us. We’re just here doing our thing on Lane 6.
