Pondy Plastics & Traders

We are located at 115, Kumaragurupallam Road. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to Raja Theater. You might have seen our sign if you’ve ever gone for a movie or been stuck in the traffic around here. Pondy Plastics & Traders is where we spend most of our waking hours. The building is old but it works for us. We do a mix of plastic stuff and trading, which keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the road gets blocked up with trucks or scooters, which makes it a bit hard to unload things, but we manage. It’s a small team here. We know the neighbors and they know us. We don’t have a big office with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just a shop floor and some storage. People come in looking for specific plastic items and we try to find what they need in the stacks. Sometimes it takes a minute because we have a lot of items tucked away. The Raja Theater landmark really helps people find us. Life on Kumaragurupallam Road is never quiet. We open up early in the morning and stay until the evening rush starts to die down. It’s a simple business. We don't use any big words to describe it. We just trade plastics and try to get through the day's work. It has been our base for a long time now. We just keep our heads down and do what we do.
