Mohamed Plastic Center

Mohamed Plastic Center is located at 7, 45 Straight Road. If you know the Venkateshwara Nagar area in Saram, you've probably passed our door at some point. We deal with all sorts of plastic items. Buckets, chairs, containers, and all the usual stuff people need for their houses or small shops. It gets quite crowded in here because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. You never know what someone is going to walk in and ask for on a Tuesday morning. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high up toward the ceiling. Sometimes I worry about a tower of stools falling over, but we’ve got a system that works for us. My cousin helps out when things get busy during the festival seasons. Straight Road lives up to its name, it’s a direct line through the neighborhood, so we get a lot of foot traffic. We open early because that's when the sun isn't too hot yet. By the afternoon, it gets a bit sticky inside with all the plastic around. We’ve been here a few years now. It’s a simple business. We buy things, we sell them, and we try to keep our neighbors happy. We don't do much advertising. People just see the sign or hear about us from someone else. It’s nice being part of the Saram community. You get to know the faces and hear the local gossip.
