You can find Vidhya Bharti School right by the Dvc Gate in Jakkanpur, Patna. The area is 800001 and it’s always buzzing with people and vehicles. Being near the gate means there’s always something happening outside our walls. The school building itself is a bit older, and it has that lived-in feel that comes from years of children running through the halls. We have several classrooms where the teachers spend their days explaining lessons and checking homework. It gets quite noisy in Jakkanpur, so we’ve gotten used to the sounds of the city while we work. The students come from the surrounding neighborhoods, mostly walking or taking local transport. We have a small staff that handles everything from teaching to the daily chores of keeping the place running. There isn't a lot of extra space, but we make use of what we have. Sometimes the water taps need fixing or a lightbulb goes out, and we just deal with it as it happens. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People in Patna just know us because we’ve been here at the Dvc Gate for so long. During the winter, the mornings are a bit foggy and cold, so everyone comes in wrapped in sweaters. In the summer, we just keep the fans going as fast as they can. It’s just a regular school doing its best to teach the kids in this part of Patna.
