New Delhi Public School

New Delhi Public School is tucked away on Boring Road in the Patliputra area of Patna. The address is 5C/2 and it’s a place most people around here recognize. Boring Road is always full of people and shops, so there is constant noise. Our school is a bit set back, but you can still hear the city. We have several classrooms spread across the floors. The stairs are concrete and a bit worn down from all the footsteps. We have a small gate where a guard sits during the day. Inside, it's just a regular school environment. We have desks that fit two or three students each. The walls have a few posters and maps pinned up. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or fancy lounges. It’s just rows of seats and teachers with their chalk. In the rainy season, the road outside sometimes gets muddy, and we have to spend extra time mopping the floors. The office is small and usually has a stack of forms waiting to be signed. We don't have a huge playground, so the kids mostly hang out in the corridors or the small front area during their breaks. It's a busy, cramped, and lively place. We do our work, the kids do theirs, and we all head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s a very practical way to run a school in Patna. We have been here for many years now and know the rhythms of the street well.
