R P S Public School sits right on the Patna Masaurhi Road. If you know the Gulzarbagh or Pahari area, you know how the traffic can get around here. It's a loud part of Patna, but once the kids get inside the building, it feels a bit different. We have been working out of this spot for a while. The school is easy to find because of where it is on the main road. Mornings are usually a bit of a rush with the vans and cycles coming in from all over Gulzarbagh. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s a place for local kids to get their education without having to travel too far into the city center. The building has seen a lot of students come and go over the years. Some days the dust from the road is a bit much, so we have to keep the cleaners busy. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the school and it gets quite warm in the offices. We usually just have the fans going and keep the doors open for a breeze. The staff hangs out in the small break area when they aren't in class. It is a very normal, local school life here. We deal with the usual stuff like leaky taps or missing chalk. It’s just how things go at a school like ours in Patna. We keep things moving and get the job done.
