Patel Nagar Marg is a busy spot in Patna. Our school is right there in Punaichak. It’s a place where you’ll always hear the sound of the city. The building is large, with several rows of classrooms. We’ve had generations of students pass through these halls. Every morning, the street fills up with yellow buses and parents on scooters. The uniforms are a familiar sight in this part of town. Inside the gate, things are a bit more disciplined. We have a schedule that we follow strictly, from the first bell to the last. The staff room is always full of teachers drinking water and talking about the next set of exams. We have a library that smells like old paper, which is where some kids go to hide during free periods. The playground isn't huge, but it's enough for a quick game of cricket. Patna summers are tough, so we keep the fans running at full speed all day. Sometimes the power cuts out, and then everyone complains until it comes back. We don’t do things in a fancy way. It’s mostly just reading, writing, and making sure the kids stay out of trouble. It’s a lot of responsibility, and the days go by fast. You get used to the routine after a few months. It’s just a steady, local school doing its thing in a crowded city and we like it.
