Vidhya Bharathi Model School

The building is easy to spot if you are walking along the canal road. It’s a busy area, so there is always something going on outside our windows. Inside, we have several classrooms that we try to keep organized, though it gets messy with all the students' bags and books. We have a routine that we follow every day, starting with the morning assembly in the small courtyard area. The teachers work out of a shared space where there are always stacks of paper and empty tea cups. It’s a standard school setup with wooden benches and desks that have been around for a long time. Some of them have names carved into them from students who left years ago. We don't have a lot of extra space, so every corner of the building gets used for something. The noise from the traffic on Boring Road is just part of the background here. We have a big gate that we keep locked during school hours for safety. It’s a straightforward place to work and learn. People in the neighborhood know us as the school near the canal. We just focus on getting the daily lessons done and making sure the kids are safe until their parents pick them up in the afternoon.
