S.S Foot Wear

We have been running S.S Foot Wear here in Chuughra Gali for quite some time now. This part of Patna City is always packed with people and rickshaws, especially in the afternoon heat. Our shop is just a small spot along the lane where we keep all kinds of shoes and sandals stacked up. It is not a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. We just have simple wooden shelves that are usually overflowing with boxes. My nephew helps me out when he is not busy with his studies. We mostly see the same people from around the neighborhood coming in when their old slippers finally give out. Bihar weather can be really rough on shoes because of the dust and the rain, so we try to keep things that are sturdy enough to last a while. There is usually a pot of tea going in the back if you happen to stop by at the right time. Most of our days are spent dusting the boxes and chatting with the other shopkeepers nearby. We do not have a big sign or do any advertising. People just know we are here in the Gali. It is a basic way to make a living, and we like the routine of it. You come in, find something that fits, and you are on your way. We just keep it simple and honest for the folks living around Patna City.
