Nulex Foot Wear

Our shop, Nulex Foot Wear, is located over in Hazari Mohala. If you know Patna City, you know how busy and crowded this area gets on a daily basis. The shop itself is pretty small, and we have to use every bit of wall space to keep our stock. Sometimes it feels like there are more shoe boxes than there is actual floor to walk on. We mainly sell the kind of footwear that regular people need for their daily work or for walking around the dusty streets of Patna. It is just me and one other worker most of the time. We open the shutters early in the morning and usually stay until the sun goes down. Business changes with the seasons, especially when a big festival is coming up and everyone wants something new to wear. We do not have any air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that hum all day long. People in the mohala know us by name, which is nice. We have been in this exact spot for several years now. The noise from the traffic outside can be quite loud, but we have gotten used to it over time. We do not bother with fancy marketing or anything polished. If someone needs a pair of sandals or some boots for the kids, they just walk in and look around. We just try to keep things moving and stay busy in our little corner of Bihar.
