Shubhagaman Hotels is a small business we run out of Indrapuri. We are located at Road Number 5, in the house belonging to Pashapati Devi, who is Kamta Prasad Singh’s wife. This part of Patna is mostly houses and families, but we’ve been operating our hotel business here for a while now. It’s a quiet area, which I think people like when they are trying to get some rest after a long day. There are a few of us who handle everything, from the front desk to the cleaning. We aren't a big company with a lot of staff or fancy titles. We just do the work ourselves and try to keep things organized. The house is number 03 on the road, so it’s pretty easy to find once you get into Indrapuri. I spend a lot of my time just making sure the bills are paid and the guests have what they need. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We are just trying to make a living in our own neighborhood. Sometimes it gets a bit busy and we have to move fast, but usually, it’s a steady pace. My uncle comes by to help with the books when things get complicated. Most of the people who stay with us are just passing through for work or visiting their folks nearby. We’ve lived here for years, so we know the local area like the back of our hands. It's just a simple, honest business.
