Hotel Patliputra Exotica

Out here on Exhibition Road in Patna, things never really stop moving. Hotel Patliputra Exotica is tucked away right near the Big Bazaar, so there is always a crowd or some traffic noise right outside the gate. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets. We spend a lot of our shift just watching the chaos from the front windows. Inside, we try to keep things a bit more organized. It’s a tall building and we’ve got a lot of rooms to look after, which keeps us on our feet. The staff is mostly local guys who know the area well, so if someone asks where to get a quick snack or a specific shop, we usually have an answer. The rooms are okay, they’ve got what you need for a night or two. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us answering the phones and checking the laundry. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow when the weather is bad, but that’s just how it goes here. We see a lot of people coming in for weddings or big meetings because of the location. It gets pretty hectic during the festival seasons, but we’re used to it by now. It’s a practical place for people who need to be in the middle of everything and don't mind a bit of noise.
