National Convent High School

National Convent High School is located on B M Das Road. It’s one of those streets where there’s always something happening. The building is tucked in there, and we’ve been part of this street for a good while. When you walk inside, you’ll notice the stairs are a bit worn down from years of students running up and down. It isn't a huge campus, so things feel a bit tight sometimes. We have the usual rows of desks and the teachers’ table at the front. The windows look out onto the street, so you can hear the horns and the people talking outside. It’s just the sound of the city. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment. We mostly stick to the books and the writing on the board. The office is small and usually piled high with folders and registers. We spend a lot of our time just managing the schedule and talking to parents who drop by. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day, with kids sitting on the steps or in the small open area we have. By the time the afternoon sun hits the front of the building, it can get quite warm in the upper rooms. We have some old fans that hum pretty loud but they do the job. B M Das Road is our home, and we’ve just settled into the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years.
