Gyandeep High School

Gyandeep High School is located in Shantivan, over in the Nirala Nagar area of Digha. It is a pretty well-known part of the neighborhood. The school isn't some massive modern building; it is more of a local fixture that has been here for years. Most of the people working here are from the nearby areas, so there is a lot of chatting in the mornings. Digha can be a bit hectic sometimes, but our spot in Nirala Nagar is usually okay. We have several classrooms and a small area where students hang out. Maintaining the building takes a good amount of effort, especially during the monsoon season when things get damp. We are always painting something or fixing a desk. It is a lot of small tasks that add up. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed most of the time, though it gets a bit tense during exam weeks. We do not really do anything fancy here. We just show up, open the gates, and get to work. Most days are pretty much the same, which is fine with us. We have a routine that works, and everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to manage with what we have, but that is just life in this part of town. It is an honest place where we just try to get through the curriculum and keep the students safe until they go home. We just keep things moving along.
